Located on Barcelona's Gran Vía, near the conference center of Montjuic, the B-Hotel, designed by the architect Alfredo Arribas, forms part of the historical context of l'Eixample district. The façade is resolved with a double cladding composed of a fixed lattice of sandstone slabs mixed with mobile sheets of aluminum that creates a façade that changes over time due to the different positions of both. The set responds to the rhythm and proportions of the nearby buildings. The verticality and particularity of the building is highlighted as the inside holds thin lines of xenon that help the building to transform into a great illuminated lamp. The profiling system for support of the stone lattice was entrusted to Sistema Masa within the company's Specials product range.
