DescriptionThe Masa Integral System has been designed in response to a technical requirement in the evolution of fastening systems for ventilated façades: inclusion of the enclosure walls as part of the fastening system executed as a light façade. This new system provides a major construction advantage, as it can be fixed directly to the building structure, ensuring stability and sealing of the enclosure walls, the first thermal acoustic insulation layer and the fastening of the cladding. It is a highly versatile system because it allows selecting different installation options in two of its most important layers: Insulation and cladding. This feature is not a minor issue as the system is designed to fasten claddings with materials as varied as natural stone, porcelain, fiber cement, composites, high-pressure laminates, etc.
Since its inception, the Masa Integral System has been designed to completely focus on the on-site assembly work without the need for a large infrastructure for the preliminary preparation of its components. Easily installed, the SIM allows optimizing the installation time to make the best possible use of the time available to the installation staff.
The Masa Integral System consists of elements specially designed for their intended function, combined with standard elements, such as European connections and connections with brackets. This is a great benefit when working with machining centers, as the preparatory drill holes and cuts for the profiles require no special treatment.

FeaturesDuring the development of the Masa Integral System and in collaboration with external laboratories, simulation tools have been used to analyze overall behavior in all related aspects.
Specifically, the TECNALIA laboratory has analyzed the risk of surface condensation on the curtain wall, guaranteeing compliance with humidity class 3 and 4 requirements (based on the ISO 13788:2002 classification). When installing the SIM, the coordination between all parties involved is essential: site management, technical office and machining workshop. Although the system can be easily installed, it requires technical support to ensure the correct transfer of the on-site measurements to the specific drawings for each element, which must be subsequently submitted to the machining center. Sistema Masa, in response to this requirement, offers an extensive technical service so that all the customer needs to do is install the façade.
The Masa Integral System can be fastened by means of direct anchors fixed to the main profiles of the system as well as by using horizontal profiles. This option provides a good solution to all possible cut-offs, ranging from claddings with two continuous joints to those more complex using locked joints. Combined with standard Sistema Masa anchors, the SIM becomes the ultimate solution for the fastening of any type of lightweight façade cladding.
As with the cladding, the SIM allows the customer to choose the type of panel and the composition that best fit their needs, from simple steel panels with polystyrene core to panels with a completely fire resistant mineral rock wool core.
The implementation of a complementary system on the inside enables the necessary value required by standard according to the use of the building to be obtained (in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation).
The solution proposes the use of double plasterboard panels (one of them with vapor barrier), completely independent of the façade’s structural support. This guarantees the interruption of the thermal bridge inwards.
The capacity of the system depends on the components selected by the customer as well as on adjustments made to the final price of the system.
