In the big cities, historic buildings coexist with the most innovative projects in terms of energy efficiency. One of the cities with a more recognized historical center is Barcelona. It is here where we have developed one of the last projects of Sistema Masa and a proof that the oldest constructions are combined perfectly with the new constructions that include techniques such as ventilated facades.

Technical characteristics of ventilated facades
The new project of Sistema Masa consists of a multi-family building located in the center of Barcelona, in the Eixample district and very close to the Sagrada Familia. This project is in elevation and completely special plant, since each plant is different from the lower and upper. This characteristic has led to a very detailed study of the set of ventilated facades.
For the cladding we have opted for the Terracotta Cumella Ceramic design. This model gives an avant-garde design to the building. Regarding the anchoring system of the ventilated facades, we have used the PF-AL-T/SO double security, mechanical and chemical. The whole enclosure is protected with Knauf thermal insulation, 60mm Ultravent Black model, which gives the whole the highest degree of energy efficiency.
